We made our APEX instances available for everyone, ready for use and highly secured. Here is short summary of key configuration options:
- ARCHIVEMODE in DB is turned on
- Database backup is configured using crontab on oracle OS user
- Full backup is performed at 02:00 on Sunday
- Incremental backup is performed at 02:00 on every day-of-week from Monday through Saturday
- Fast Recovery Area is configured at /opt/oracle/fast_recovery_area and FRA is used as backup target
- Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) is turned on
